NEW WALK STARTING TUESDAY 27th OCTOBER 2026
I love my football and trying to play golf, I have a great family and two adorable grandkids. I was born in 1966, I grew up in an environment where you just had to man up and get on with things. As you get older it simply becomes harder to break that cycle and reach out.
Finding an opportunity to create the environment for men to speak up and talk if they want as a more natural process is something I suppose I’ve been looking for that doesn’t involve sitting down face to face in a room and having the pressure of expectation.
I have walked along Newcastle Quayside many, many times and regardless of the weather, seeing the bridges and the rive Tyne is also sort of comforting in itself. This walk is also accessible, pretty flat and during darker evenings is well lit. It’s a bonus having a free car park at the meeting point!
