Guidelines and Rules for MWAT Group Leaders
- Welcoming, friendly, sociable
- Good communicator, informative
- Aware of others, observant, sensitive
- Confident and knowledgeable, knows the route, knows own boundaries
- Competent at dealing with incidents
- Diplomatic but firm and decisive
- Well-organised, well-equipped
- Reliable and punctual
- Enthusiastic (but not overbearing)
- An ambassador for Men Walking and Talking
- Prioritising slower members of the group and ensuring the group does not become separated.
- Anything that is discussed within the group is confidential. Group leaders will make a judgement as to if someone requires further support.
- No alcohol or drugs will be tolerated at any time.
- Where possible walk routes should avoid starting or ending outside pubs, betting shops or fast food outlets
