Men Walking and Talking Winter Wellbeing Walking Weekend

Who: Men, 18+

When: Saturday 24th January 2026

Meeting times: 09:30 for a 10:00 start

Where: Sat – Cardingmill Valley – SY6 6JG

What Three Words: Sat – ///surveyors.declining.smiling

Parking: Chargeable at both sites with both cash and card although signal is questionable. Sat location is free for NT members and Sun for Forestry England members.

Route: The routes are preplanned but will be led by an MWAT walk leader who is familiar with the area and can change if required. We will plan to stop halfway for a picturesque picnic as a group.
Pace will be determined by the group and will stop regularly for rests and picturesque points for photos and views. (Estimate around 4/5 hours)

Caution: Paths can be steep, slippy, rocky, narrow and have unguarded drops. Water at this time of year will be cold, fast flowing & deep, and must not be entered.
Weather can change quickly and conditions will become more hazardous.

Equipment: A sturdy pair of boots, decent walking attire (No denim), poles if required, rucksack with any medication and warm kit, Waterproofs, Hat, Sun cream, Insect repellant, gloves, money, picnic and plenty of drinking water.
