If the car park is full, an alternative is usually given by the National Trust staff along the lane, you will be able to walk back to the meeting point from there. Car parking charge – £7, I advise bringing cash and card as a backup (Cost may have increased). National Trust members park free.
Route: 5 miles with about 300m elevation. This route will be led by an MWAT walk leader who is familiar with the area. Pace will be determined by the group and will stop regularly for photos and views. (Estimate time 1.30-2 hours per lap). Number of laps is optional and will be started and finished by the walk leader, the maximum amount will be 5 laps, for 5 years of Men Walking & Talking.
Cost: Suggested donation – £5 per lap (5 miles per lap) We will have the facility to take card payments on the day.
Caution: Waterfalls and streams are dangerous and must be treated with caution, especially with children. Paths can be steep, slippy, rocky, narrow and have unguarded drops
Water at this time of year will be cold, potentially fast flowing, and must not be entered during the walk. Weather can change quickly and conditions will become more hazardous. Dogs to be kept on lead at all times. Please adhere to th countryside code, leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but memories.
